Megan Savage

Cellist

Megan Savage has been named a finalist for 2022 John Oliveira String Competition and 2022 Mary H. Taylor String Competition, and is a member of the Atlantic Classical Orchestra and Palm Beach Symphony. She has performed under conductors including Michael Tilson-Thomas, Marin Alsop, Gerard Schwarz, Mei-Ann Chen, and Pinchas Zukerman, and collaborated with artists including Joshua Bell and Sergei Babayan. Megan has toured internationally with orchestras in China, South Korea, Taiwan, Japan, Wales, and England, and has performed in Carnegie Hall as member of the National Youth Orchestra (NYO-USA).

She has been featured on the Orlando Philharmonic Summer Serenade chamber music concert series, the Gŵyl Beaumaris Festival in Wales, the St. Paul Chamber Music Series in Boca Raton, the Kosciuszko Foundation in New York City, the Fort Worth Chamber Music Society, the Blue Candlelight Chamber Music Series in Dallas, and at the Smithsonian Institute as a National Orchestral Institute Haydn Quartet fellow. In 2022, Megan joined the Kourdisma String Quartet, two-time first prize winners of the Lyric Chamber Competition at Lynn Conservatory, second prize winners of the 2023 NOLA Emerging Artist Chamber Competition, and finalists for the 2023 Music Teachers National Association Chamber Music Competition.
