Solo Bach – First and second movements from the one of the following J. S. Bach Solo Sonatas - No. 1, 2 or 3.
First movement of a major Romantic or 20th century violin concerto (with or without piano accompaniment).

Solo Bach – Two contrasting movements from a Bach Solo Suite.
First movement of a major 20th century viola concerto (with or without piano accompaniment).

Solo Bach – Two contrasting movements from a Solo Suite.
First movement of a major Classical (Haydn, Boccherini), Romantic or 20th century cello concerto (with or without piano accompaniment).

Two contrasting works of the applicant’s choice
One movement of a representative work with at least one other instrument

Scores and links to recordings of your three best original compositions. Please make sure that at least one of them demonstrates your ability to write for solo or chamber strings. MIDI recordings are acceptable but not encouraged.

Audition Video Submission:
(For Chamber Music Institute applicants only)
Applicants may submit separate videos for each work.
We recommend that a single camera be used for the recording of our audition, which shows your hands and face at all times.
Announce your full name at the start of the video recording.
Video submissions using YouTube is preferred.
Uploading the video Unlisted is recommended.
Eligibility:
Secondary, conservatory or university students ages 16 (by June 1, 2024) and older by, may apply.
Application fee is NON-REFUNDABLE
The application fee is $75 and must be accompanied with the completed online application. Applications without proper fee payment will be not be processed.

Key Dates After Acceptance:
Registration fee: $160 - Due by April 21, 2024
50% of tuition/lodging - Due by May 5, 2024
Final tuition/lodging payment - Due by June 2, 2024
